If you are ready to heal, you are in the right place.

How does the Meadow-flower its bloom unfold?
Because the lovely little flower is free
Down to its root, and, in that freedom, bold;
And so the grandeur of the Forest-tree
Comes not by casting in a formal mould,
But from its own divine vitality.
-William Wordsworth

This poem really speaks to what I understand about healing both from my own journey as well as in my work with clients who continue to amaze me with their courage, resilience, and light.
When we rediscover and connect to our own power and vitality--what many spiritual traditions call our soul, spirit, essence, or true self--we are able to truly blossom into who we are meant to be.

COUPLES: Whether you are hoping to relate to each other in healthier and more fulfilling ways and/or you feel stuck in spite of your best efforts, I am ready to meet you where you are at. Together, we can heal painful patterns in your relationship, deepen the connection between you and your partner, and foster greater intimacy so that everyone's needs are met.
INDIVIDUALS: I work in a deeply compassionate, trauma-informed way to help you heal your wounds (including those from racial trauma). I welcome clients of all ages, and after 15 years as a middle and high school teacher, I really enjoy working with adolescents and teens.

INTERNAL FAMILY SYSTEMS (IFS): The main modality I work from, IFS, is a deeply compassionate, respectful, and client-centered approach that empowers a client's Self to bring about deep and lasting healing. My work is also informed by the fact that I teach trauma-informed yoga and meditation/mindfulness.

SEX THERAPY: Sexuality in all its forms and expressions is an integral part of our human experience because it touches on so much more than our overtly sexual experiences: sexuality is a fundamental component of our intimate relationships; it is an integral part of our identity and how we are regarded and treated; it is relevant to our reproductive choices--whether we can or choose to parent; and it impacts so many aspects of our physical, mental and emotional health. I have specialized, comprehensive training in Advanced Clinical Sexology--something that only 5% of therapists and healthcare providers in the US have--and am currently pursuing certification as a sex therapist. I am interested in all issues related to intimacy and sexuality and look forward to supporting you on a path to a truly satisfying, guilt-free, shame-free, joyous, and pleasurable sexuality.

It is always an honor for me to witness the joy and energy that clients discover when they experience deep healing. I firmly believe that everyone has what they need internally to heal themselves and their relationships. If you are ready to heal, I am ready to be a compassionate partner on your journey and look forward to hearing from you.

I am particularly welcoming of BIPOC & LGBTQIA+ folks.

If you missed it at the IFS conference, I'm offering my experiential workshop Healing the Effects of Racism by request. I invite you to reach out if your organization can benefit from deep processing of racial trauma that's grounded in compassion.

My training is in providing culturally sensitive, identity affirming, and trauma-informed therapy to survivors of interpersonal violence and trauma (including racial trauma) using a holistic and deeply compassionate approach.

Working from an Internal Family Systems (IFS) framework, I empower individuals, couples and families to embark on their own Self-guided healing journeys. I have seen great success helping clients with

  • PTSD / complex PTSD

  • anxiety

  • depression

  • sexuality & intimacy issues

  • gender identity

  • grief

  • substance abuse

  • suicidal ideation

I am particularly welcoming of BIPOC & LGBTQIA+ folks.

The mind-body focus of yoga practice can bring about many health benefits as well as healing on a deep level. Trauma-informed yoga prioritizes safety within the class setting and connectedness to one's body. Practitioners are gently reminded to tune into what they are feeling physically and emotionally and to respect what their bodies are telling them. Pranayama, or work with breath and energy, helps with centering and grounding.

Inner peace in today's hectic world may feel like a rare accomplishment or something that is virtually unattainable, but every human being is capable of living peacefully no matter what may be happening internally or externally. When we learn to pay attention to what is within, we are able to refrain from judgment, practice self-compassion, and  harness the true power of our existence.

Quantum physics confirms what sages have known for thousands of years: we are energy, and everything in the world is energy. Energy healing is premised on the understanding that work with the subtle bodies can heal and prevent disorders that manifest physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

I currently have limited openings. BIPOC/QTBIPOC folx and those specifically interested in IFS therapy and/or sex therapy (e.g. issues relating to intimacy, sexual trauma, sexual identity, sexual function, etc.) are prioritized in my practice.
